HRPF are next-generation electrically insulated PTC air heaters that enable uniform heating of airflows with flexible power control. Thanks to encapsulated heating elements, they are resistant to moisture and dirt and achieve a high level of operational safety and energy efficiency through the PTC effect.

Insulated PTC Air Heater (HRP)
Insulated PTC Air Heaters of the HRPF series are powerful heaters for uniform and efficient heating of airflows.. Building on the proven HRP series, the new HRPF generation has been designed to improve controllability, simplify integration and enhance operational reliability.
A key advantage is the flexible control of the heating circuits: they can be operated independently and switched on individually as required. This allows the heating output to be precisely adapted to different operating conditions, such as varying airflow rates or uneven airflow within a system.
The encapsulated PTC heating elements are resistant to moisture and dirt and enable reliable use even under demanding ambient conditions. The insulation complies with protection class II and also allows operation without a protective earth connection, reducing installation effort and simplifying integration.
The revised design reduces thermal mass, enabling faster heating and cooling, which is particularly beneficial in dynamic applications such as vehicles and mobile systems.
In addition, the HRPF series offers a wide range of variants and a modular design, allowing the heater assemblies to be optimally adapted to different requirements.
PTC Air Heaters – Safe and Efficient
PTC heater assemblies use the physical PTC effect, which allows the output of the heating elements to self-regulate. The heating elements are self-limiting and do not exceed a defined maximum temperature, ensuring a high level of operational safety.
As a result, they combine reliable operation with energy efficiency - without additional safety or control circuits.

Available Versions
The HRPF series is currently available in sizes M and L with V-fin geometry. Additional sizes, voltages and fin designs are currently under development.

Insulated PTC Air Heaters HRPF are used in the railway, special-purpose vehicle and HVAC applications.
Typical applications include:
Cabin heating in vehicles, heating solutions for railway applications, cockpit heaters, control cabinet heating, air drying and dehumidification, as well as pre-heating and reheating for building HVAC systems and ventilation systems with heat recovery (low-energy buildings).
